Based on the client’s needs, the type of interpreting is determined and whether one or more interpreters will be needed.

Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting is a suitable option for trainings, receptions, negotiations and specialized events. The interpreter is present in the same room as the presenters and translates the text one passage at a time. The event will be longer than it would be without the interpreting service. We advise using at least two interpreters for events lasting more than four hours.

Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting is suitable for events with several working languages or many participants. The interpreter works in a separate room or booth and uses interpreting equipment. The audience listens to the translation on headphones more or less simultaneously with the speakers. The nature of this type of interpreting requires at requires the use of at least two interpreters.

Whispered interpreting

If only a few people are present, whispered interpreting is a suitable choice. The interpreter sits next to the listener(s) and interprets without use of equipment. We advise using at least two interpreters for events lasting more than four hours.

To prepare the interpreter before the event, please send presentations and other materials timely before the event. Pease also send the schedule of the event and the names of the speakers. The speakers should remember tat written text is usually not suitable for oral delivery and shorter, clear sentences should be preferred.
